Kaieteur Falls, Kaieteur National Park, Potaro-Siparuni Region, Guyana

Kaieteur Falls is a waterfall of about 226 meters on the Potaro River in central Guyana. They are located in the Kaieteur National Park.
Kaieteur Falls are named in honor of Kaie, a great leader of the tribe Patamona, who, to save her attacked by a warlike tribe people sacrificed to the Great Spirit Makonaima paddled over the falls.
