Mykonos or Mykonos is a Greek island in the northern Cyclades in the southern Aegean Sea. It lies between Tinos, Syros, Paros and Naxos. In 2001, there were 9,320 inhabitants, an area of 86 km, a coastline of 89 km and hosted at least 400,000 tourists per year. The most important cities are Chora and Ano Mera. The main activity is tourism. The inhabitants are called Mykonos Myconiates, Myconiens or Mykonians.
