Notre Dame de Paris cathedral, Notre-Dame de Paris and Notre-Dame Cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Paris.
It is located on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité in the fourth arrondissement of Paris. Its western facade dominates the square of Notre-Dame – Place Jean-Paul II.
The building is being extended over many decades, the style is therefore not a complete uniformity: it thus has characteristics of early Gothic and High Gothic. Both roses adorning each arm of the transept are among the largest in Europe, and each measure 13 meters in diameter. It was when completed one of the largest cathedrals west.
