Portree, Scotland

Portree is the largest town of the island of Skye belonging to the Inner Hebrides in Scotland. There are four ways to reach Portree: through the Skye Bridge ; by ferry from Mallaig to Armadale; by ferry serving seasonal Kylerhea ; the Outer Hebrides Uig continuing until Portree with the bus service. There is also the Portree High School, the only secondary school on the island of Skye. Public transport is limited only to buses.

The port of Portree is bordered by rocky cliffs, with a pier designed by Thomas Telford.

The attractions of the city include the ‘ Aros Centre which celebrates the Gaelic origin of the island. In addition, the city hosts a center that organizes explorations and guided tours to the entire island.
