Sleeping Goddess at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, England

The Lost Gardens of Heligan, near Mevagissey in Cornwall, are part of the most famous British botanical gardens. The garden style is typical of the nineteenth century.

The gardens were created by members of the Tremayne family for a period extending from the mid eighteenth century to the early twentieth century and are still part of the family property. The gardens were neglected after World War II and restored in the 1990s, restoration was the subject of television programs and books.
