Taal Volcano, Talisay and San Nicolas, Batangas, Luzon, Philippines
Taal is a volcano in the Philippines located in the south of the island of Luzon, about sixty kilometers south of Manila. It is a large caldera partially occupied by the Taal Lake, which contains an island, Volcano Island, which itself contains another lake. Still active with last eruption in 1977, the volcano rises to 400 meters. His numerous explosive eruptions resulting pyroclastic flows and tsunamis are the deadliest volcano in the Philippines.
